  • Web-Based Interface
    RentalStar's easy-to-use web-based interface means users can access their account anytime, anywhere, from any computer. There is no software to download and maintain so your IT department need not be concerned.
  • trakSMSTM
    Allows users to communicate directly with their GPS unit using the text message (SMS) function of any cell phone. Immediately users receive the address, speed and direction the unit is heading. Additional commands can also be sent to lock doors and disable/enable the starter. Best of all, this feature does not require the user to log in to the Internet.
  • State-of-the-Art Mapping and Imaging
    Full functionality views allow users to see the unit location information in road map, 2D and 3D aerial views, as well as a hybrid view (aerial and map views combined). Each unit updates continuously for real-time accuracy and coverage extends throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
  • Real-Time Alerts and Notifications
    Alerts can be sent via text (SMS) message and/or email.
    Speed Alarms
    This feature allows users to set excessive speed thresholds of 75 and 85 mph. If the vehicle exceeds the speed threshold, an alarm notification is sent. A message is also stored in the vehicle history.
    Boundary Alarms
    Allows users to set up six geo fences (electronic boundaries) around user defined areas. If the vehicle travels into or out of a rental lot, impound yard or crosses international borders, an alert is sent.
    Maintenance/Service Alert
    Keep your maintenance staff informed by automating vehicle service alerts. You can define service intervals by odometer, engine hours or calendar.
    Low Battery Notification
    Know when there are alternator or battery problems before the customer does.
  • Starter Disable/Enable
    Owners can send a command to prevent the vehicle from being started at any time. This allows owners to regain control of their vehicle and prevent damage from happening. The vehicle will not disable while in motion.
  • Daily/Weekly Vehicle Inventory Reporting
    Knowing your inventory without leaving the office enables you to identify underutilized vehicles to put them back on the road generating revenue.
  • Remote Door Unlock
    Allows users to unlock the vehicle car door via the Internet and/or through the trakSMS function (cell phone text message).
  • Multiple Username/Permissions and Privilages
    The RentalStar application provides you the ability to setup a hierarchy in your operation giving you control over who has access to specific data sets.
  • Vehicle Groups
